What is the Supplement Label Certification Program?
Two years of collaborative effort by the NFLPA, the NFL and EAS
have gone into launching the Label Certification Program. There’s
nothing else like it in the world of sports, and EAS is once again
on the cutting edge of sports nutrition.
The Label Certification Program has a two-fold purpose.
- First, the Program’s rigorous testing
and certification process ensures that approved products—those
bearing the Label Certification Program logo—fully comply
with the NFL’s banned substances requirements and also have
been independently tested to verify that each product contains
only what’s on the label.
- Second, a company can only be approved to participate
in the Certification Program after a determination by the NFL,
the NFLPA and their independent testing agency, NSF International,
Inc., that the certified company does not manufacture, market
or sell any products containing any substances prohibited by the
NFL.
